Our story began with a spark, paused along the way, and eventually found its way back stronger, steadier, and right on time.
Miles and I are both from Louisville, where it seems like everyone knows everyone. We’d known of each other back in high school, but our paths didn’t truly cross until years later at a friend’s engagement party (shoutout to Olivia and Colin Mackin!). I was living in Nashville at the time, and he was a familiar face in a crowded room. We chatted, laughed, even grabbed breakfast the next morning, but life moved on, and we didn’t speak again for nearly a year.
Some people linger in your memory. For me, he was one of those people.
One day, without much planning, I texted him out of the blue. And just like that, everything changed.
From that first message, we picked up like no time had passed, as if we’d both just been waiting for the right moment to find each other again. He asked me on a date, and from there it was countless weekend visits, late-night calls and early morning drives to and from Nashville.
Eventually, I moved back to Louisville. Not just for him, but because it felt like where I belonged. And now, home isnt just a place, its a person. It’s him.
Love may not always be on schedule, but it always arrives when it’s meant to. We couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with everyone in May 2026!
